STEAM TASTE ENGINE · BETA

WHAT SHOULD YOU PLAY NEXT?

Load a public library, mark the games you truly love, and get a personal selection without trusting Steam's genre soup.

Your profile and games must be public. Reactions are stored under an anonymous SteamID hash; the URL, name, and SteamID itself are not saved.

How the matching works

Favorites define the taste profile, while the starred favorite gets a louder vote. Top Steam tags outweigh tail tags, ubiquitous tags are softened, and related signals are grouped into conservative semantic axes. Up to three moods receive 100%, 55%, and 25% weight. Format, device, reviews, and reactions also contribute. “Not interested” removes the game and penalizes similar picks, “played it” excludes it, and “interesting” strengthens that taste trail. Franchise repeats are penalized, technical apps are filtered out, backlog respects activity, and prices are checked live.
